The proposed sculpture aims to be a poetic and philosophic response to the themes of peace, consciousness and reconciliation, using the creative tools of metaphor and metamorphosis. The work combines traditional and globally recognised symbols and visual metaphors for peace, pacifism and reconciliation by transforming one into another. The design aims to integrate symbolism that is accessible to both the local community as well as visitors from both Western and Eastern cultural backgrounds.
